Asia Pacific organization announcement After a distinguished Motorola career of nearly 10 years, Simon Leung, general manager of Home & Networks Mobility and president of Motorola Asia Pacific, has decided to leave Motorola to pursue other opportunities, effective 15 November. Sincere appreciation to Simon for his leadership and his many contributions to Motorola’s success in the region.
Joe Cozzolino, presently general manager of Motorola Home & Networks Mobility Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) will take on an expanded role to lead both Asia Pacific and EMEA Go-to-Market teams for H&NM. Joe and his team will create a cohesive go-to-market organization that shares best practices and leverages strengths in both regions to help us better serve our customers with a global footprint.
Joe has 20 years of wireless, wireline and CATV engineering, general management, sales, and customer service experience. He joined Motorola via the acquisition of RiverDelta Networks in October 2001, where he led worldwide customer operations for the company. Prior to RiverDelta, he spent 9 years at ADC Telecommunications. As vice president of sales, he was responsible for pre-sales and sales in their broadband group with over $1 billion of revenue responsibility. Joe will continue to be based in the United Kingdom.
Congratulations to Joe for his new role. And once again, we thank Simon for his many contributions to Motorola and wish him the best in his new endeavor.
