Chapter 1 Intercultural Reasoning
The process of second language acquisition mean the forming of a new thinking pattern. The emphasis on English learning in elementary and middle school in china has been constantly laid upon the correct pronunciation ,right intonation, large amount of vocabulary and the commanding of certain rules of grammar. However, as these are of the basic for English learning, the fact not be ignored that for graduate or college students, the major obstacle in the process of second language acquisition does not arise through mispronuciation or throught poor uses of grammar, s important as those aspects of language learning are. The major hurdles for graduate students, as well as undergraduate student, lie in differences in thought pattern, or the modes of the way of thinking. |
